I was a girl who grew up in the mountains of India and I had great skin. But suddenly one day it all changed... I had major Acne practically overnight! And when I broke out, it was raw, red, inflamed and in one word - it was a living disaster! I was eighteen and I had just started my modeling career. Because of acne, my work started getting affected a lot too and I really didn't know what to do. A lot of times, when I would meet anyone for a modeling assignment, they would want to feature me for - how not to have this kind of skin! The first cover shoot I did in my career actually featured saying - what not to do to have a bad skin like Celina. That was the lowest phase of my life. My friends & family would also pass comments on me openly, without even realizing that it might hurt me. Boys used to make fun of me and called me zit face. That was the biggest blow to my personality and it was affecting my confidence and self-esteem. I remember my aunts saying - with this kind of skin, how will she ever get married? Or how is she even modeling with this skin? I became so conscious that I would wear professional make up 24 hours of the day!
I first discovered Proactiv through an aunt of mine. Before that I had already tried so many different things that I was sure that Proactiv was the last thing I was going to try. I had tried almost all remedies - including putting my saliva on my face in the morning! Yeah and then I even remember applying haldi on my face and when I removed it, my face was yellow for the next three days!! My Mom thought I had Jaundice (that's a funny story). I'm so glad that I tried Proactiv because it started showing results immediately. After the first 2 days, the redness started reducing and within 4 days my acne started disappearing! There was softness and a glow on my face. Eventually, all the marks disappeared and people didn't believe that she is the same Celina who ever had bad pimples! The 3 bottles worked like a miracle!
It was only after using Proactiv that I got the confidence to enter the Miss India Pageant. It was almost unbelievable because not only did I win the Miss India title but what was more special for me was that I won the "MISS BEAUTIFUL SKIN" award! When my name was announced for the Miss India title, I looked around because I thought it was a mistake! I couldn't believe it and I was like, oh my God... I'm passionate about telling people about Proactiv because I have suffered from severe acne myself and I know how it can affect your self confidence. I know what I'm talking about I've experienced it first-hand. I have come a long way over the last two years my skin has improved drastically! It doesn't break out at all. Once in a blue moon when I am shooting for long hours or when I'm really stressed out or at that time of the month maybe just one pimple would appear on my face. But even that is temporary because I would immediately put on the Refining Mask, and the pimple is gone by the evening or in most cases, I put it on at night and the redness reduces in the morning.
